Choir Director

Richard is director for a new project entitled London City Voices, a choir based in the City of London. Aimed primarily at those who work in the city and want to pursue some singing activity during or after work, LCV welcomes singers of all abilities. No experience is required and you do not need to audition. The repertoire is varied – much comes from within the pop/rock/jazz idiom but there are folk and classical numbers too. The vast majority of the arrangements are by Richard. Click here to listen to one of Richard’s choral arrangements.

Richard has been Musical Director for a number of projects, most significantly choral ones. He was Choir Director for the Rumours of Angels Christmas tour of the UK in 1997. He arranged the choral and string parts for the album “King of Fools” for Delirious, and directed the choir for them at Wembley Arena in 1996. He was also Musical Director for an episode of the BBC show “Songs Of Praise” in 1998. He wrote and directed the music for a play entitled “Paradise Crushed” and toured with the show, also in 1998. Richard has produced arrangements and been MD for several bands and shows. He has run many school and community choirs and is currently guest director for the Nunhead Community Choir.
