BNI
BNI stands for Business Network International, and is a fantastic way of getting new clients and fresh business. Richard has been an active member of BNI since 2008 when he joined in order to promote his band Cornucopia. It has brought him thousands of pounds worth of business in the time he has been a member.
In February 2009, Richard parodied the Don McLean song “American Pie” and performed it at a BNI conference at Lord’s Cricket Ground. That afternoon, due to much demand, he recorded it and uploaded it to YouTube. Within a week he had had over 5000 views. It was so successful within BNI that Dr Ivan Misner, the Founder of BNI, invited him over in November 2009 to Long Beach to sing it at the International Directors’ Conference. To this day Richard still gets comments about the song and is often recognised in wider BNI gatherings as “that singer bloke”.
You can see the original video below, and also Richard performing live at the conference in Long Beach.
